Goodwill To Host Job Fair For Military Members, Veterans And Families

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Goodwill Industries plans to host a job fair with representatives from over 30 employers as a part of its Operation: GoodJobs program on Friday, July 13th.

Operation: GoodJobs works directly with military members, reservists, veterans and their spouses and dependants, under age 25, to help “find and secure family-sustaining employment,” according to the program mission statement.

Goodwill currently supports over 200 military families in the Charlotte area to provide one-on-one coaching, interview training and employment services to further their job search.

Employers present at the upcoming military job fair wish to fill a wide variety of available positions, such as material handling and logistics, transportation, business services, healthcare, hospitality and retail.

Attendees are encouraged to preregister for the event by July 12th with Operation: GoodJobs at the Goodwill Opportunity Campus. Representatives recommend attendees dress professionally and bring copies of their updated resume to the job fair.

The military job fair will take place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Operation: GoodJobs at the Goodwill Opportunity Campus on Wilkinson Blvd in Charlotte.
