MARSHVILLE, NC — A 19-year-old Union County man has been charged with multiple counts of child pornography. Alexander Vandertoorn is charged with 12 counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Exploitation. 
Deputies say they received a tip Wednesday night about a large quantity of images being uploaded to an online account that depicted children in the nude and taking part in sex acts.
Detectives say they found roughly 120 images and videos of child pornography uploaded to Vandertoorn’s Dropbox account involving children under the age of 12. Deputies say they also seized multiple computer devices during the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing and officials say additional charges are likely.
