WATCH: Tempers Flare Among Demonstrators Outside City Council Vote On 2020 RNC

CHARLOTTE, NC — Pro and anti-Trump demonstrators outside the Government Center exchanged heated words Monday afternoon.

The crowds were gathered outside as Charlotte’s City Council held a public hearing to vote on the Queen City’s 2020 bid for the Republican National Convention.

The council voted 6-5 in favor of accepting contracts to host the convention if the selection committee approves the city’s bid.
