Argument Results In Shots Fired Between Family Members

TAYLORSVILLE, NC — A woman and her nephew were arrested Thursday morning after deputies say the two fired shots at one another during an argument.

Nathan Teague, 42, reportedly went to his aunt’s home on Confederate Drive in the Wittenburg Community around 8:44am to ask for money he says was owed to him. While there, deputies say the two got into an argument and Teague threatened to kill his aunt, Teresa Petrea, 59.

Petrea then got a gun from her camper, according to reports, and fired a shot hitting Teague’s truck.

Officials say Teague left and returned a short time later with a shotgun and fired a round at Petrea’s camper. No one was injured in either shooting.

Teague was arrested and charged with Felony Discharging a Firearm Into an Occupied Dwelling and Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Petrea was also arrested and charged with Felony Shooting Into an Occupied Vehicle.
