Olympic Gold Medalist Ryan Lochte Suspended 14 Months For Doping Violation

Gold medallist swimmer Ryan Lochte has been suspended by the United States Anti-Doping Agency for 14 months.

The suspension reportedly happened because he received an illegal intravenous infusion in May.  The rule says athletes can not receive IVs unless they are hospitalized or given an exemption.

USASA says Lochte did not take any banned substances.

Officials say the investigation was launched after Lochte posted a picture on social media showing him getting treatment.
