Boil Advisory In Effect For The Town Of Dallas, NC

DALLAS, NC — A water boil advisory is in effect for residents in the Town of Dallas after officials say a Treatment Technique Failure was discovered during recent tests.

Bill Trudnak, Public Works Director for the Town of Dallas, released the following statement Wednesday afternoon:

“A Treatment Technique Failure was detected in water samples collected from the water system serving the Town of Dallas in Gaston County. This is due to a failure in the Treatment Technique used in our process. Therefore, as a precaution until additional testing can confirm that the Treatment Technique has been corrected, customers are advised to boil all water used for human consumption, including drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation, or use bottle water.

Vigorous boiling for ONE minute should kill any disease-causing organisms that may be present in the water.

This advisory remains in effect until further written notification is issued.”
