MATTHEWS, NC — Officials are trying to determine why a single-engine plane crash landed in a field Thursday evening.
The FAA says the Cessna flipped after landing in a field in front of Life Church Assembly of God on Margaret Wallace Road. Officials say the pilot was the only person on board at the time of the crash.
The pilot was not hurt, according to reports, and walked away from the accident.
Officials still have not said what led to the crash.
