Man Wanted For Stealing Vehicle In York County

CLOVER, SC — The York County Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify a man caught on surveillance during an alleged burglary and vehicle theft.

The initial burglary was reported around 1:10am Friday at a home on Oakridge Road. Deputies say the suspect ran off when the home’s owner confronted him while breaking into a storage shed.

The suspect ran to Patrick Road, according to reports, and took off in a stolen white 1995 Chevrolet Lumina.

Investigators say the suspect also entered two other vehicles on the property. Both were left unlocked.

Deputies say the suspect may be in Gaston County. He is described as a white male, between 35 and 45-years-old, roughly 6 feet tall, slender build and a black beard.
