Do You Think It Is OK To Swear Around Your Kids?

Some experts now say cursing around your children can be good, if you do it the right way.

The idea is to make it a learning experience.
Instead of telling kids not to curse, you should teach them what the bad words mean and when to use them.
The neuroscientist who wrote a book called ‘Swearing Is Good: The Amazing Science of Bad Language” was on a British talk show Monday.
She explained why its better for kids to first hear swearing at home, than from other kids at school or on the playground.

“They’re not going to have a sense of how swearing affects people’s feelings, but also how swearing isn’t directly correlated with being awful to people. There are ways to be really vile without using a swear word,” said Dr. Emma Byrne. “Instead of saying we’re going to shut this conversation down, we’re talking about why its inappropriate.”
