Police Arrest 2 Suspects In Gastonia Homicide

GASTONIA, NC — Police have arrested and charged two men in connection to a deadly shooting Sunday night.

Aaron Woods, 33, is charged with the 1st Degree Murder of 37-year-old Jonquie Hemphill. A second suspect, Adrian Woods, 22, is charged with Accessory After the Fact.

Gastonia Police say Hemphill was shot and killed on Unity Avenue around 6:50pm on August 8.

Officials have not released any information on what led to the incident, or how the men were associated. The investigation is ongoing.
