STATESVILLE, N.C. — Police have identified the suspect wanted in connection to a convenience store robbery early Monday morning.
Investigators say 42-year-old Gary Adrian Church, of Ronda, NC, robbed a Kangaroo Express on Salisbury Highway around 5:40am, and another Kangaroo Express on Safriet Road about 90 minutes earlier.
Church was reportedly identified after the City of Morganton Public Safety Department issued a BOLO for a suspect wanted in connection to another robbery that took place Monday morning.
Detectives from Morganton and Statesville compared surveillance and determined it was the same suspect.
Warrants have been issued by Statesville PD for his arrest. Church is charged with Common Law Robbery in connection to the incident on Salisbury Highway and Safriet Road.
