York County Teen Faces Multiple Charges After Home Invasion, Armed Robbery

MCCONNELLS, SC — A York County teen has been charged after allegedly breaking into a home Thursday, robbing the residents at gunpoint, and then leading deputies on a vehicle pursuit.

Shortly after midnight, deputies say 18-year-old Collin Jenkins broke into a home on Ferndale Road. The home’s owners, Jennifer and Jeffries Williamson, were reportedly asleep when Jenkins broke in.

The victims tell deputies Jenkins was wearing a camouflage mask and pointing a gun when he entered their bedroom demanding money.

Deputies say Jenkins then walked Jeffries’ out to his work truck, a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, at gunpoint to retrieve his wallet, and took off with $98 and the truck.

A responding York County Deputy arrived just as Jenkins was leaving the scene and began pursuit. Deputies say the chase came to an end after stop sticks were deployed and Jenkins crashed on Oak Park Road in Rock Hill.

Investigators say a mask, handgun, crowbar, and the victim’s money were found inside the truck.

Jenkins is charged with Kidnapping, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, Tools/Possession/Making Implements Capable of Being Used in Crime, Grand Larceny Over $10,000, First Degree Burglary, Armed Robbery, Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, Fail To Stop For Blue Lights, Disregarding a Stop Sign, Reckless Driving, and Driving Under Suspension (non-DUI).
