Fire Rips Through Kannapolis Home, Leaves It Completely Destroyed

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. — A blaze completely destroyed a home in Kannapolis on Tuesday.

Kannapolis firefighters were notified around 3:30 a.m. by a passing motorist of a house fire in the 400 block of Pleasant Avenue near Ben Avenue.

Several companies arrived to the scene in just a few minutes to find heavy fire taking over a single story house with 90% fire involvement.

The fire was so severe that crews initially had to battle the fire from the outside.

Although firefighters were able to control the flames in roughly 10 minutes, the house was left completely destroyed.

No one was injured in the fire.

Crews are still on scene conducting an investigation into what caused the fire.
