Rock Hill Police say 36-year-old Dewight Baird was arrested Tuesday morning in Charlotte for the murder of Terrence Williams Sunday morning.
Baird, a resident of Rock Hill, was picked up by CMPD after being identified as a suspect in the case. Police say Baird is being held at the Mecklenburg County Jail while officials begin the process of extraditing him back to South Carolina.
Baird is charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm during a Crime of Violence.

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Rock Hill Police are investigating after Terrence Williams, 32, was shot and killed Sunday.
Investigators say the shooting happened on Celanese Road near India Hook Road. No arrests have been made at this time but police say it appears the victim and the suspect knew each other.
This is the third homicide in Rock Hill for 2018. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers of York County at 1-877-409-4321.
