4 Teens Charged With Breaking Into A Union County Elementary School

MATTHEWS, NC — The Union County Sheriff’s Office has charged four teens in connection to a break-in at Weddington Elementary School.

The break-in happened shortly before 11pm on Sunday. Responding deputies say they found two unoccupied vehicles in the school’s rear parking, and began searching the property.

After locating an open window, deputies say they spotted Edward Milano, 18, Leah Young, 17, Cooper Glasgow, 17, and Courtney Connell, 17, inside the school. No other persons were found on the property.

The four Weddington High School students have each been charged with Misdemeanor Breaking and Entering.
