BURKE COUNTY, NC — A Connelly Springs man has been charged with killing another man found dead in a vehicle early Wednesday morning.
The body of 49-year-old Roger Hoglan, of Hildebran, was found inside a vehicle on Costner Road around 2am. Deputies say Hoglan was shot to death.
Investigators with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office and SBI searched the vehicle and interviewed witnesses before identifying 32-year-old David Barnes as the suspect.
Barnes was arrested Wednesday and charged with Murder. He is being held without bond.
