Missing 89-Year-Old Man Found Safe

The Charlotte Fire Department tweeted Friday afternoon that 89-year-old Thomas Davis was found and is safe.

CMPD says Davis was found around 5pm in a wooded area on Valleydale Road. He was taken by Medic to the hospital, but is in stable condition.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Silver Alert was issued Thursday evening as police with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department continue their search for 89-year-old Thomas Davis.

Officers met Ronald Davis around 8 p.m. on Wednesday who said his father, Thomas Davis, was last seen at their home in the 7000 block of Bullock Drive near Clover Gap Drive.

Thomas Davis is believed to be walking in the Coulwood and Pawcreek area of west Charlotte.

The man is paralyzed on his right side from a stroke and does not have the ability to find his way home.

Davis is a black male who is 6’0″ and weighs 192 pounds. He has brown eyes, grey hair and black and grey facial hair. He was was last seen wearing grey sweat pants and a grey sweat shirt.
