4 Teens Charged In String Of Burglaries At A Matthews Area Shopping Center

MATTHEWS, NC — Police have charged four suspects in connection to a string of break-ins that happened in the Sycamore Commons Shopping Center on May 21.

Nathaniel Desean Nicholes, 18, Demetrius Winston, 17, Malus Bey, 18, and Colin Xavier Gallman, 16, are all accused of breaking into the Starbucks, Sweet Frog, Jimmy John’s, Great Clips, and Zoe’s Kitchen on Northeast Parkway.

Police say the teens are also suspects in several other commercial burglaries throughout east Charlotte and Union County.

The four suspects are currently being held in the Union County Jail, according to officials, on other pending charges.
