Houston School Takes Down Sexist Sign
A Houston school has removed a ‘sexist’ sign after it sparked some controversy on social media. The quote which was painted above lockers at a middle and elementary school read, ” The more you act like a lady, the more he’ll act like a gentleman.”
The phrase reportedly originated with a woman who ran an escort service in the 1980s. People on social media say the quote was ‘misogynistic’ and an example of victim-blaming.
