Sabor Latin Street Grill To Open New Location In South End Next Month

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One thing is clear. More Sabor means more smiles!

The popular, authentic Sabor Latin Street Grill is planning to open yet another location in the Charlotte area next month.

Raydal Hospitality, the ownership group of Sabor Latin Street Grill, recently reached an agreement to purchase the Charlotte rights to Fidelli Kitchen, the fast casual Italian concept launched in 2016 by founder Scott Richards.

“We plan to immediately convert the existing Fidelli location on Camden Road to our 11th Sabor Latin Street Grill,” Raydal CEO Dalton Espaillat said. “We love the South End of Charlotte and are excited to bring our unique food experience to the neighborhood.”

The South End location of Sabor, which will be located at 1616 Camden Road, will open in late September.

The Sabor menu draws on favorites from El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Mexico and Colombia. The scratch-made kitchen creates crave-worthy salsas, including the famous Pineapple Jalapeno, empanadas, gorditas, arepas, yuca fries, nachos and tacos.

“From the masa cakes used for arepas and gorditas, to the stuffed empanadas, braised meats, grilled carne asada and our unique salsas, our food is made fresh every day,” Espaillat said. “It is important that every customer experiences the best we have to offer.”

Espaillat opened the first Sabor in 2013 on Hawthorne Street in Charlotte. The brand has since grown tremendously with restaurants now open in Fort Mill, Wesley Chapel, Steele Creek, South Park, NoDa, Indian Trail, Huntersville, Davidson and Pineville. A flagship 12th location in uptown Charlotte, 300 N. College St., is set to open in late 2018.
