CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A serious crash has closed down a portion of Brookshire Boulevard near I-485 in the Mountain Island Lake area.
The wreck happened around 6:15 a.m. on Tuesday and involved a Sun Drop truck and pickup truck.
Medic said one person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
One inbound lane is shut down on Brookshire Bouleavard, causing heavy traffic in the area.
Drivers are asked to avoid the intersection and take Bellhaven Boulevard as an alternate route.
