CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is warning drivers to be mindful of several traffic delays today as President Trump makes his way to the Queen City.
Some roads, particularly those near the Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Carmel Country Club, will be closed completely for short periods between noon and 6 p.m.
Significant delays can be expected on Billy Graham Parkway, Interstate 77 and in South Charlotte in the Johnston Road and Carmel Road areas.
Drivers headed to or from the airport are asked to avoid Billy Graham Parkway. Drivers are asked to access the airport via Little Rock Road, Interstate 85 or northbound Interstate 485 to Wilkinson Blvd.
