CMPD has released the 911 calls from Thursday’s domestic violence related shooting in the parking lot of Villa Heights Elementary School around 7:30am.

CMPD says 34-year-old Delmond Cunningham has been arrested following a standoff with police just outside of Uptown in south Charlotte.
Cunningham was located at an apartment complex on Luther Avenue Thursday afternoon. Police say he is responsible for the shooting early this morning at Villa Heights Elementary School involving his ex-girlfriend.
He is charged with three counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill, two counts Felony Domestic Violence Protective Order Violation with a Weapon, Shooting into Occupied Property, Possession of a Firearm on Educational Property, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by Felon, and Communicating Threats.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after shots were fired in the parking lot of an elementary school in Charlotte.
The shooting happened just before 7:30am at Villa Heights Elementary School. Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department say the ex-boyfriend of the woman shot at her while she was dropping her child off for school.
Police say the school was placed on lockdown while they investigated. No one was injured in the shooting and no arrests have been made at this time.
CMS released the following statement to parents:
Good Morning Villa Heights families,
In an effort to keep you informed of incidents occurring at our school, I would like for you to know our school is on lockdown, due to a situation in our parking lot. Charlotte Mecklenburg Police along with CMS-Police are investigating an individual who came onto our parking lot and discharged a weapon.
All students and staff are safe, and no injuries have been reported. This is an active investigation and we will keep you updated as this case continues.
The lockdown means no one will be allowed into our building, and all students will remain inside, until we have been given the all clear.
