LINCOLNTON, NC — A Lincoln County couple has been charged with killing a man found dead in a used car parking lot early Tuesday morning.
Police say Christopher Easter was found just after 6am in the parking lot of Darin Grooms Auto Sales on East Main Street. After about 20 minutes of resuscitation efforts, officials say Easter was pronounced dead on the scene.

Witnesses reportedly told police that Easter was assaulted by Jason and Carolyn Carwile prior to his death.
The couple was arrested a short time later and charged with Murder. They’re being held at the Lincoln County Detention Center without bond.
So far, there is no word on what may have led to the assault or the relationship of the suspects to the victim.
