CHARLOTTE, NC — The season opener at Bank of America Stadium didn’t disappoint as the Panthers defeated the Cowboys 16-8 Sunday.
The good news:
- The defense allowed only 8 points, which is the third fewest in the NFL this week.
- Carolina had six sacks – tied for the most in a game for the Panthers since 2016.
- The cats held Ezekiel Elliott to 69 yards rushing on 15 attempts.
The not great news:
- Greg Olsen hurt his foot and right tackle Daryl Williams hurt his knee.
- The Panthers only scored once in the second half.
- Cam rushed for a touchdown but didn’t throw a touchdown for the 21st time in his career.
That brings us to our question of the night: Are you more excited for the defense, or concerned about the offense?
