LINCOLNTON, N.C. — The Lincolnton Police Department has made a third arrest in connection to the murder of Christopher Easter.
After an ongoing investigation, police determined the third suspect in the homicide of Easter was 31-year-old Joshua Chinault. He was arrested and served murder warrants.
Around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, September 7, police received information that Chinault could have been traveling to the Days Inn, located at 614 Clark Dr. in Lincolnton. Officers then spotted Chinault entering a room at the hotel. Soon after, they found Chinault hiding in the ceiling of the room and took him into custody around 10:40 p.m.
