The Women’s Tennis Association is backing Serena Williams following this weekend’s heated US Open Final.

Williams is facing a $17,000 fine for her behavior Saturday.

She got three code violations for receiving coaching from the stands, smashing a racket and verbally abusing the umpire.

She went on to lose the match and accuse the umpire of sexism, saying men have said worse and not suffered the same penalty.
