Women Tennis Association Back Serena Sexism Activism

This morning, the Women’s Tennis Association is backing Serena Williams following this weekend’s heated US open final.

Williams is facing a $17k fine for her behavior Saturday. She got three code violations for receiving coaching form the stands, smashing a racket, and verbally abusing the umpire.

She went on to lose the match and accuse the umpire of sexism saying men have said worse and not suffered the same penalty.
