Second Arrest Made In 2014 Murder In East Charlotte

The Latest:
A second suspect has been charged in the 2014 murder of Romon Antionio Williams.
Cory Neal, 25, is charged with first degree Murder, Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon, and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Neal was already in the custody of the North Carolina Department of Corrections for an unrelated case. He has been returned to Mecklenburg County and is currently in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Jail.

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have charged Aric Adams for the 2014 murder of Romon Williams.
Police say information and evidence gathered during the course of the investigation recently led them to identifying Adams as the suspect.
Adams has been charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are searching for the person who shot and killed a man in east Charlotte Tuesday evening.
Officers were called to an apartment complex on Barrington Drive near Milton Road in reference to a shooting just before 10 p.m.
Once they arrived on the scene they found Romon Williams dead. Investigators say the shooting appears to be drug related and not a random act of violence.
No arrests have been made at this time. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 704-432-TIPS.
