CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman and a baby were shot at a southeast Charlotte apartment overnight.
Officers with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department were called to the 4600 block of Sharon Chase Drive near Sharon Amity Road where they found two females who had been shot.
Police say an adult female was shot in the leg and a 3-year-old girl was grazed by a bullet in the foot. Both victims were transported by Medic to the hospital where they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The shots were fired both inside and outside of the residence. Both females were inside the apartment when the shooting occurred.
Two other occupied apartments were also targeted and hit by gunfire, but no one was injured.
