CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An argument led to a triple shooting in north Charlotte late Monday.
Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department were called around midnight to the 7-Eleven, 1120 Sugar Creek Rd., where they discovered two adult males and 1 adult female had been shot.
Medic transported all three victims to Carolina’s Medical Center where they are being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the two male victims had a verbal altercation with a male suspect in the McDonald’s parking located at 1201 W. Sugar Creek Rd. The three involved in the fight then walked to the Shell Convenience store located at 1125 W. Sugar Creek Rd. When the argument was over, the two male victims were walking across Sugar Creek Road from the Shell to the 7-Eleven when the suspect began shooting. Both of the men were struck by gunfire.
A third victim, an adult female bystander, was pumping gas at the 7-Eleven when she was also hit with a bullet.
The search for the shooter is underway. No arrests have been made at this time.
