LINCOLN COUNTY, NC — A former Denver daycare worker has been found guilty of Misdemeanor Child Abuse.
Rebecca DeGregory, 23, was convicted on September 13th by a Lincoln County judge. She was sentenced to 18 months of unsupervised probation after the judge suspended her original sentence of 60 days in jail.
According to officials, DeGregory was caught on surveillance video pulling hair from the head of an 18-month-old child at a children’s academy daycare on March 21, 2018. She was an employee there at the time.
DeGregory was arrested and charged on March 26. Officials say she was also served a criminal summons in connection to the incident.
