Man Wanted In Connection To Shooting, Road Rage Incident In Southeast Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man is wanted for causing an accident and shooting another person in the stomach in southeast Charlotte over the weekend.

Officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department were called around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday to 4205 Monroe Road where a man attempted to make a left hand turn into the parking lot when a suspect, who was driving a black Chevrolet Camaro with black rims, struck the right rear quarter panel of the victim’s vehicle.

The male victim told police both he and the suspect vehicle pulled over. The suspect driver and the passenger both exited the Chevrolet Camaro and a verbal argument began between the three individuals.

During the argument, the suspect shot the victim one time in the abdomen.  The suspect and passenger then got back into the Chevrolet Camaro and left the scene prior to the officers’ arrival.

The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect involved in the shooting and the accident is described as a young black male with dreadlocks.  The dreadlocks had braids in them and were pulled back behind his head.  A picture of the suspect, passenger and car are shown below.
