Officials say Adrian Wells has been arrested for a shooting that injured a man in Hickory. Wells turned himself in at Hickory Police Headquarters, according to a news release. Wells has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He was given a $100,000 bond.

HICKORY, NC — Police have issued a warrant for the suspect they say is responsible for a shooting Thursday night.
Around 9:21pm, Hickory Police say Donnie Morgan, 28, was shot in the back on 8th Avenue Drive SE. Morgan was taken to Frye Regional Medical Center for treatment, and later transferred to Baptist Hospital.
Police say Morgan and the suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Adrian Wells, did know each other but have not said what led to the shooting.
A warrant for Wells’ arrest was issued Friday, according to police.
