Woman Wanted After Allegedly Stealing Then Pawning Valuable Ring

DENVER, NC — Lincoln County deputies are looking for a woman they say stole a valuable ring in August, then pawned it a day later.

The ring, valued at more than $2,000, was reportedly stolen on August 10th by 27-year-old Kimberly Parker. Deputies say the victim had hired Parker to clean her house on Christopher Road and later noticed the ring was missing.

When confronted by the victim, Parker reportedly admitted to taking the ring and promised to return it. On August 11th however, investigators say the ring was pawned for $100.

According to reports, the ring was custom made and given to the victim as a gift in the 1980’s by her late husband.

Charges were filed on Parker Friday, but so far deputies have been unable to locate her. She is now wanted for one felony count each of Larceny, Possession of Stolen Goods and Obtaining Property by False Pretense.

Anyone with information on Parker’s whereabouts is asked to call Lincoln County Communications at 704-735-8202 or Crime Stoppers at 704-736-8909.
