Police Locate Man Separated From Family While Driving

Police have located the missing man who became separated from his family while driving on I-277 Friday evening.

Mr. Kinard was located by the Matthews Police Department.  His family was notified and he was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for help locating a missing man who may be endangered.

The CMPD says Jack Kinard, 64, was following family members on I-277 on Friday October 5th, 2018, at about 7:30 p.m., when he became separated from them.

Mr. Kinard was driving a blue 2016 Kia Rio with South Carolina tag MRD-580.  Police say Mr. Kinard may be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment and is not familiar with the area.
