CHARLOTTE, NC — The National Weather Service has already issued Flash Flood Watches for most of the WCCB viewing area in preparation for Hurricane Michael.
The following counties will be under a Flash Flood Watch from 8pm on Wednesday, October 10th until 11pm on Thursday, October 11th:
South Carolina
- Chesterfield
- Lancaster
The following counties will be under a Flash Flood Watch from 6am on Thursday, October 11th until 12am on Friday, October 12th:
South Carolina
- Chester
- York
North Carolina
- Alexander
- Cabarrus
- Catawba
- Cleveland
- Gaston
- Iredell
- Lincoln
- Mecklenburg
- Rowan
- Union
The following counties will be under a Flash Flood Watch from 6am on Thursday, October 11th until 5am on Friday, October 12th:
North Carolina
- Anson
- Richmond
- Stanly
The watches were issued Tuesday afternoon ahead of possible heavy rain and flash flooding associated with Hurricane Michael.
