CORNELIUS, N.C. — Funeral arrangements are set for 5-year-old Jace Thompson on Thursday.
Jace died Friday after being diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor less than a year ago.
Monday night, dozens of people gathered at the Cornelius Police Department to honor the boy.
Jace was the son of Cornelius Police Captain Jennifer Thompson and State Trooper Eric Thompson.
His memorial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 11th at 1 p.m. in the auditorium at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center in Albemarle.
