Good School News: Waddell Language Academy Encouraging Notes For Students

Tonya has some good news about our youth!

Educators are looking to build bridges between the classroom and the home.

Waddell Language Academy Teacher Justin Parmenter has received national recognition for a program that allows parents to write note cards to his students when they are having a bad day.

Some of the note cards have said:

“Some days are harder than others”

Hang in there and it will get better.

“You are smart, funny, creative…”

What a way to make students feel loved and appreciated.

Fortunately, it is still early in the year and students have had mostly good days. For parents who have not sent in a note card, people from the community have stepped up, so no one is left out.

Parmenter explains how students have reacted so far. Watch the video above to see more.
