Three People Arrested In Connection To Statesville Armed Robbery, One Still Wanted

STATESVILLE, NC — Police have charged three suspects in connection to an armed robbery on Wednesday, but one suspect remains at large.

Police say the robbery happened at a home on Wilson W. Lee Boulevard after the victims arranged to buy an XBOX from the suspects via Facebook messenger. When the victims arrived at the home, police say two suspects, Lonnell Williams and Jaylan Jones, robbed them at gunpoint.

No injuries were reported.

Police say a search of the home on Wilson W. Lee resulted in the seizure of various types of ammo, a firearm, crack cocaine, powder cocaine and marijuana.

Williams, 21, has been charged in connection to the robbery. Jones, 20, is still wanted by police.

Jones’ sister, Toni Jones, 21, has been charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Marijuana, and Felony Maintaining a Dwelling.

Police say Martevis Simpson, 24, was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, which resulted from the search at Wilson W. Lee.
