Two Suspects Charged With Breaking Into Vehicles

MATTHEWS, NC — Police have charged two teenage suspects they say broke into several cars over the weekend while driving around in a stolen vehicle.

Around 11:16pm Sunday, residents on Annecy Drive reported several suspicious suspects roaming around the neighborhood, walking through driveways and looking into vehicles while trying to open the doors.

Upon arrival, officers say they spotted Tyre Davis, 18, and Draven Fulgenzi, 16, who matched the suspect descriptions given by callers. Police say Davis tried to run but was arrested a short time later. Fulgenzi reportedly surrendered without incident.

Police say the two teens were responsible for several vehicle break-ins throughout the neighborhood, and were in possession of a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Charlotte.

Davis is charged with three counts Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Simple Possession of Marijuana, and Resisting a Public Officer.

Fulgenzi is charged with three counts Breaking or Entering a Motor Vehicle, Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Simple Possession of Marijuana.
