An empty asphalt parking lot will transform into a unique urban shopping experience as part of Uptown Flea, a monthly pop-up retail offering dozens of flea vendors, food trucks and fun for the entire family. This is not your grandmother’s flea market! Vendors will include salvagers, collectors, vintage dealers, hand makers, antique dealers, local shops, and everything in between. The entry fee is $1. Uptown Flea is part of an ongoing effort by Charlotte Center City Partners to activate and animate the North Tryon corridor.

Get ready for Halloween with a fun outdoor movie in the heart of Uptown! Movies on the Deck returns Friday, October 26 with Beetlejuice. The top of the parking deck of the 400 South Tryon building will transform into a movie theater, complete with hot dogs from JJs Red Hots, beer from Blue Blaze and a few more tasty surprises! Doors open at 6:30 and the movie starts at 7:30.

Celebrate the City of Charlotte’s 250th anniversary with a fun run at Charlotte Douglas International Airport! The 12th annual Runway 5K is part of the official CLT250 celebration. You can have the unique opportunity to run on one of the country’s busiest airport runways. It is an amazing experience to run and see planes queuing up and taking off.  This race offers a flat and fast course.  It is an experience that the whole family will enjoy!
