One Arrested, One Still Wanted For Southeast Charlotte Motor Vehicle Break-Ins
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two suspects have been charged for their involvement in a series of vehicle break-ins in southeast Charlotte.
On the morning of Monday, October 15th, 2018, multiple vehicles were broken into on Hooper Court and Joseph Hewes Court in Charlotte.
On Thursday, October 18th, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers stopped a car for several traffic violations.
The three occupants of the car fled on foot when the vehicle stopped. Two of the suspects were apprehended shortly thereafter.
One of the apprehended suspects, 16-year-old Dekhole Quetin Figueiredo, was determined to be a suspect in the October 15th vehicle break-ins.
A further investigation led to the discovery of Theodore Clark, 21, as the second suspect in the October 15th vehicle break-ins.
Figueiredo was charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Resisting a Public Officer and served with two unrelated warrants for the traffic stop. In addition, he was served with six Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle warrants and three Larceny warrants for the Hooper Court and Jospeh Hewes larceny cases.
Clark is still wanted and six Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle warrants and three Larceny warrants have been issued for him for the Hooper Court and Jospeh Hewes larceny cases as well.
