Eric Reid’s Overturned Interception Has Fans Divided

The Carolina Panthers will be back on the field at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday to take on the Baltimore Ravens.
The Panthers are undefeated at home and hope to ride the momentum from Sunday’s win on the road.
Cam Newton led the cardiac cats to an historic comeback against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Panthers were trailing the Super Bowl champs 17-to-zip heading into the 4th quarter but clawed their way to a win.
The final score was 21 -17.

One play has football fans divided.
Panthers safety Eric Reid nearly clinched the game with a pick on a pass by Carson Wentz, but the officials in New York reviewed the play and overturned the call.
Panthers head coach Ron Rivera wouldn’t say if he agreed with the call on Monday.
“I just feel fortunate to have been able to win the game twice, so i feel good about that,” Rivera said.

A lot of people think Reid did make the catch, including NBA star and Charlotte-native Steph Curry.
Curry tweeted: “Definitely a pic. Hand was under it the whole time!”
Even Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles weighed in, tweeting: ‘Eric Reid made a clean and controlled interception. no matter what the ref say, the mayor decrees it so.’
And Sports Illustrated NFL writer & Edge contributor Jonathan Jones agreed, writing: ‘No clue how New York overturned that Reid interception. I never saw clear, irrefutable evidence that the ball touched the ground.’
