Missing Statesville Man Located In Texas, Arrested For Having Outstanding Warrant

Police say Terry Adcock was located in Canton, Texas.  Authorities realized Adcock was wanted on an outstanding probation warrant.  Therefore, he was taken into custody and will be extradited to North Carolina.

STATESVILLE, N.C. — The Statesville Police Department is searching for a 57-year-old man who went missing over the weekend.

Police say Terry Adcock signed out of the Aurora Assisted Living on Ora Drive at 8 a.m. on Saturday to go for a walk. Adcock called the facility at 6 p.m. saying he would return, but never did.

Adcock who suffers from health and cognitive issues was last seen wearing a blue zip-up hoodie, blue jeans and white shoes. He is 5’9″ and weighs 175 pounds.

A reverse 911 was sent out immediately to notify residents in the area.  Adcock was then entered into NCIC as missing and an NC Silver alert was issued.  Iredell County Search and Rescue also responded to the area. Alerts were even sent to surrounding states.

Officers searched neighborhoods in the area, checked medical facilities as well as any open businesses in the city.
