Butler HS Shooting Revives Metal Detector Debate
The fatal shooting at Butler High School is once again sparking the conversation for metal detectors in schools. Right now, CMS has a 9 million dollar plan to make schools safer.
They include:
Giving faculty panic alert cards that would let them instantly notify administrators and police about dangerous situations.
Enhanced video surveillance at 20 high schools…
And electronic locks to control access to buildings.
Superintendent Doctor Clayton Wilcox also says, yesterday’s shooting may have been a result of bullying that got out of control.
What do you think needs to be done to keep students safe?
