Second Vehicle Of Interest Wanted After Deadly East Charlotte Hit-And-Run
Investigators are now looking for a second vehicle of interest involved in an October 19th deadly east Charlotte pedestrian involved hit and run.
The vehicle is described as a black quad-cab dually pickup with a chrome bumper and side-view mirror lights. Police say the truck may have either a damaged or missing fog light on the front, passenger’s side of the vehicle.

The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Eric Ryan Elsea.
Police say Mr. Elsea was walking toward traffic on Lawyers Road towards Meadow Glen Drive from Morris Pond Drive.
Mr. Elsea did not have on reflective clothing but authorities say there are over head streetlights on the roadway. The section of roadway where Mr. Elsea was struck does not have a shoulder or sidewalk.
The vehicle that hit Mr. Elsea did not stop to render aid.
CMPD detectives are looking for a white mid 2000s Ford F-350 dually quad cab with a tool box in the bed that may have been involved in this accident.
The CMPD is working to determine if speed is a factor in the crash.
Alcohol appears to be a contributing factor for Mr. Elsea.
The crash is being investigated by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Departments’ Major Crash Investigation Unit and they are seeking the public’s assistance.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police have closed down a portion of Lawyers Road due to a deadly accident involving a pedestrian.
The accident happened on Lawyers Road between Brickstone Drive and Meadow Glen Drive. Police say a pedestrian was fatally struck by an unknown vehicle.
Drivers are being diverted through a nearby neighborhood. There is no word on how long the road will be closed.
