Police: Woman Poisons Coworker By Putting Methamphetamine In His Drink

HUDSON, NC — Police are investigating after a woman reportedly poisoned a coworker as part of an ongoing dispute.

Charissa Walker, 41, of Lenoir, is facing several charges after Hudson Police say she put an unknown amount of Methamphetamine in Jose Lopez’s coffee on Thursday. The crime happened after Lopez, 35, reportedly left the drink unattended in the break room of their workplace, BeoCare.

Investigators say they reviewed the employee break room surveillance after speaking with Lopez Thursday afternoon at Caldwell Memorial Hospital and were able to identify Walker as the suspect.

After speaking with both Walker and Lopez, police say it appears that the crime stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the two employees.

Walker is charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Contaminating Food/Drink with a Controlled Substance. She is currently under a $15,000 bond.
