LENOIR, NC — Police say no charges are being filed at this time after a man was fatally struck while crossing the street on Saturday.
The accident happened around 9pm on November 3rd. Police say 55-year-old Thomas Stevenson, of Port Aransas, TX, was trying to cross Wilksboro Boulevard near Jason Mart when he was hit by a 2009 Toyota Scion driven by Jason Hamby, 26.
Stevenson was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not released any further information on the crash at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
