Election Day Rain and Storms
What a beautiful morning — kidding! It’s a mess out there. The fog is thick with visibility down to less than a quarter of a mile in some spots. Dense Fog Advisory in place until 8am. Showers and drizzle will persist for much of the morning. A line of thunderstorms will cross through the region beginning mid to late morning. Expect rain, downpours and even thunderstorms across the Charlotte Metro Area from noon through 2pm. The good news is that our severe risk is peeled back some, but the eastern edge of the viewing area could still see a stronger storm or two. Showers will wrap up tonight. Highs in the low 70s tomorrow, but clouds will gradually increase throughout the day. Chance showers return late Thursday with a rain and storm chance back in the forecast for Friday. Cool and dry for the weekend with highs in the 50s as lows drop into the 30s.
